We received our Little Caesar's playoff games and MC playoff games. Please follow these new schedules. There will probably be some changes to the schedule. The GP North Stars are in the districts still and they scheduled a game with us on February 8th and had to cancel it. They are looking for ice to make-up that game. I traded our practice ice on February 8th (7:00-8:15pm) for ice on March 7th (7:00-8:30pm). I traded this ice before LC canceled the game because we did not want to skate twice in one day.
Post Season:
I need to get back from all of the first year Bantams the sheet I passed out for post-season. The league would like to know how many kids are going to play post-season hockey. Please turn that in to me ASAP whether you are playing or not. If you are moving up to Midgets they are exploring to see if they have enough kids for post-season. Let me know if you want to play Midget post-season at MC.
Tournament:
We have entered a tournament in Grand Rapids, March 12, 13, and 14th The games are at the Southside Community Ice Center. We have reservations blocked (under the Mt. Clemens Patriots) at the Baymont Inns & Suites. The phone number is: (616) 583-9535. They would like to have you call and reserve your room no later than Friday, February 6th. Ask for the block of rooms under the "Mt. Clemens Patriots." The hotel is new and 1/2 mile from the ice rink. It has indoor pool and complimentary breakfast. The cost is $84.00 a night plus tax. Ryan DeKimpe's brother Kevin is playing with his band in town that weekend. Thought we could check that out!
Banquet:
The banquet for Bantams is March 25th at the Sterling Inn, 6:30pm. Every player will receive 3 tickets to the banquet. If anyone would like to purchase more tickets the cost is $13.00 per ticket. Let me know right away if you need to purchase extra tickets.

Enclosed are the schedules for the rest of the year that we have received. Dates will be added for Little Caesars playoff games. The scheduling meeting is January 25th so more dates will be added after that. Also, March is an incomplete schedule. Once the final seeding is known for playoffs the March schedule will become clearer.
The times for the tournament are also enclosed. All games are at Melvindale Ice Arena. Map from arenamaps.com included.
Please note that nobody purchased our ice on January 17th and 18th. These are both late times. 17th 9:00-10:00pm and 18th 8:30-10:00pm We will be skating on those times since we are doing a local tournament. We will talk about this at the tournament.
Several parents have asked if we could do another tournament where we go away. The best time for a tournament would be the weekend of March 5-7th. After that weekend Mt. Clemens playoffs come into the picture and you have no idea what day you will be playing. There are a couple of Bantam tournaments that weekend. One is in Holland and the other Big Rapids.
Don’t forget those Superbowl squares are due on January 21st. Thanks Tim for doing the Superbowl fund raiser. P.S. Did you notice we have ice right in the middle of the Superbowl game! Maybe the game will start late!?

We have added two scrimmages in January. Our first scrimmage is against the USA Titans at Detroit Skating Club (DSC) at 8:30PM on January 12. The second scrimmage is against the Rochester Sharptails at the Onyx at 6:15PM on January 24.
