Lead Pot Leakage

If the pot drips through the spout it is usually because there are impurities in the lead, which are preventing the valve rod from seating correctly.  Fluxing the melt is necessary to remove these impurities.  One can also insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slot provided on the top of the valve rod, and twist the valve rod back and forth to reseat the valve.
